HAINES Hunter is to launch its latest R-Series boat targeting a broad brush of buyers from offshore fishing enthusiasts to families who enjoy cruising.

The 620R will join the other R-Series models including the award-winning 650R.

Haines Hunter said the 620R will deliver “unmatched performance and comfort”.

“At the heart of the 620R is its innovative design, featuring a streamlined silhouette that cuts through the water with ease,” the boat-maker said.

“Its open deck layout offers ample space for relaxation and entertainment, making it ideal for various activities, from fishing excursions to sunset cruises.”

Haines Hunter said that one of the standout features of the new model is its ability to be customised to suit each buyer needs.

“It has the ability to be fitted and tailored to suit each customer’s preferences and every aspect of this vessel can be personalised at the factory, ensuring a truly bespoke boating experience,” it said.

The company is promoting the 620R as “a new standard in recreational boating”, pointing to its design that includes examining all aspects of hydrodynamics to gain excellent stability, efficiency and performance.

“Engineers and designers use advanced mathematical models, simulations, and testing to refine the hull’s contours, reduce drag, enhance speed, and improve manoeuvrability,” the boat-maker said.

“This process also involves selecting suitable materials and construction techniques to balance strength, durability, and weight.

“The aim was to achieve the best possible interaction with water, enhancing the boat’s overall functionality and handling characteristics.”

Consideration was also given to other areas of the boat, including designing an advanced dashboard with comprehensive electronic instrumentation to give the owner full command, and a spacious cockpit.

The cockpit design is based on the Haines Hunter 675 series, with the fishing enthusiast in mind. It has a large live-bait tank and a walk-through transom for the most efficient use of space.

The engine placement at the stern also enhances usability when fishing and huge under-floor storage.

The 620R has moulded side panels designed for storing gaffs or rods, and upholstery that has padded coamings for extra comfort during long days on the water.
